NOW: Contemporary Photography From Emerging Voices

Artists Jordan Rossi, Emmanuel Robert Owusu-Afram, Jed Barnes, Tatjana Galic, and Doma Dovgialo, alongside a selection of their latest work, we’re introduced in this unique event hosted by Public Offerings Ltd. - an art photography agency whose mission is to showcase new talent from often-unseen perspectives, with a particular focus on emerging talent, women and LGBTQIA+ artists.

Guests were invited to interact with the photographers and discuss their work in a relaxed environment, designed to break down the barriers between artist, art and the public. With the ethos that photography is not, and should not be considered, an art-historical medium. Instead celebrating it as the medium most entwined with contemporary culture.

Celebrating photography as a vital and accessible art form, art photography curator Ellen Stone also offered insights to young collectors on what to look for in collecting photography, print types and finding art that speaks to them to start their own photography collections.

Stone says: “Becoming an ‘art collector’ sounds lofty and unachievable but we’re over thinking it - the reality is that you simply start buying pieces which you identify with and say something to you. The work by these artists speak to the world we’re living in right now. We don’t think twice about sharing Instagram posts which resonate with us, so why should we think any differently about the art we put on our walls?”
